TÚ B1.1 Modeling of biolectric sources and their relations (prof. Peter Kneppo, PhD, DrSc)

The goal of this part of the research project will be simulation of an optimal method for measurement of cardiac electrical activity on the chest surface with the aim to propose a diagnostically sensitive model of bioelectric sources. Important task will be the search of relations between bioelectrical sources and the surface potential distribution when solving the inverse problem.

  • Based on measurements of a set of signals on the volume conductor surface and the knowledge of the environment surrounding the bioelectric sources, optimal structures of sources for subsequent clinical utilization will be searched for.
  • Comparison of multipole and multiple-dipole models with the uniform double layer.
  • Research of models of coupling between ECG and EEG sources.
  • Research of source configuration changes corresponding to ECG and EEG map variations influenced by biological feed-back.
